Improving Genomic Prediction in Cassava Field Experiments by Accounting for Interplot Competition

Abstract

Plants competing for available resources is an unavoidable phenomenon in a field. The authors conducted studies in cassava in order to understand the pattern of this competition.

This work is part of the “Next Generation Cassava Breeding Project” which is supported by the UK Department for International Development, in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
