Product Description The product is a vehicle mounted hot water system for professional window cleaners. It is intended for connection to the Xline X-Tank water storage tank to provide continuous hot water up to 70oC to pole window cleaning systems. It can also be used with an optional frost stat to provide continual heat in the van to prevent water storage tank, pipework and cleaning equipment from freezing in cold weather.

Hazard

The product was not supplied with operating instructions or installation information. It burns diesel fuel and is designed to be fitted inside an enclosed vehicle but was not fitted with a carbon monoxide (CO) detector. Incorrect installation, incorrect use and a lack of appropriate servicing and maintenance may lead to a risk of carbon monoxide and fire. The product was not CE or UKCA marked and was not supplied with a Declaration of Conformity.

The product was not in conformity with the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.

Corrective action

The product was temporarily withdrawn from the market. A new conformity assessment has been undertaken. New use and installation instructions have been written and these, along with CO monitors, have been provided to existing users.
