Question
Are tests carried out by recognised and/or accredited laboratories prior to application for type approval acceptable?
Recommendation
Test reports issued by testing laboratories which are accredited or recognised or acceptable to the UK Approved Body based on the criteria set up on GEN‐010 may be accepted to the satisfaction of the Approved Body independently of their date.
There are no requirements that the tests are to be carried out after the date of the application for certification and that tests carried out before that date are to be repeated.
