TSI009100 - The NCH MICS team (Movements, Inventory Control & Sheds): After 90 day limit - The NCH MICS team

The NCH MICS (Movements, Inventory Control & Sheds) team deal with outstanding inventory records that are over 90 days.  Goods entering GB have 90 days to clear any outstanding records. Where no inventory action has taken place, the CSP automatically generates a list of outstanding records (BIP).  The NCH MICS team check reports after 90 days of all unentered records for each airport shed across GB via Lucas (CCS-UK).

The NCH MICS team are responsible for contacting each shed operator to investigate outstanding records to ensure shed compliance with customs procedures and secure revenue. The NCH MICS team will refer irregularities to the local BF team, who will take action for non-compliance against the temporary shed operator. In some cases, the team also comes across contraventions, of unauthorised removals which are passed to the AEO teams. This may impact the delay for AEO approval or revoked.
