Letter confirming an exemption for Stadler Class 93 trains from the requirements of the Rolling Stock – Locomotive and Passenger National Technical Specification Notices, due to the implementation of an innovative solution.

The exemption is to allow a hybrid coupler system to be used which has different technical specifications than is normally permitted.

The letter is published as part of the requirements in the Railways (Interoperability) Regulations 2011.
