Local Nature Partnerships (LNPs) are partnerships of a broad range of local organisations, businesses and people who aim to help bring about improvements in their local natural environment. This document sets out some general information about what we envisage from the LNP role, including the attributes an LNP is likely to need to have to be effective, what government recognition will mean for an LNP and how government will work with the LNPs. It is important to remember that, within the framework of the overall LNP role, it is for each LNP to decide what their priorities are and how they will work in a way that best suits the needs and challenges of their local area.
