The A 43 Trunk Road (Wood Burcote to Syresham, Northamptonshire) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic in Laybys and Prohibition of Waiting on Verges) Order 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company no. 9346363) has made an Order on the A43 Trunk Road, between Wood Burcote and Syresham, in the County of Northamptonshire, for safety reasons whilst the British Grand Prix is taking place.

The effect of the Order will be to -

  1. a) close any layby, except for emergency use, situated adjacent to the northbound carriageway of the A43 from its junction with the exit slip road leading to the dumbbell roundabout junction with the B4525, at Syresham, to its junction with the entry slip road leading from the roundabout junction with the A413, near Wood Burcote;
  2. b) close any layby, except for emergency use, situated adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the A43 from its junction with the slip road leading to its roundabout junction with the A413, near Wood Burcote, to its junction with the entry slip road leading from the dumbbell roundabout junction with the B4525, at Syresham; and
  3. c) prohibit vehicles from waiting on the verge adjacent to the lengths of the A43 described in a) and b) above.

The layby closures and prohibition of waiting will be in operation 24 hours a day from 06:00 hours on Saturday 1 August 2020 and will continue until 20:00 hours on Sunday 9 August 2020. The Order will come into force on Saturday 1 August 2020.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, and ambulance purposes will be exempt from the closures and prohibition.
