Freedom of Information request about Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust reporting rates (FOI-21-450)

Published 28 June 2021

Thank you for your email requesting further information following your request for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust reporting rates, GENQ-00144851.

Following your request, I have re-run the original data that was from 01/01/2018-30/11/2020 to include data up to 30/04/2021 with a data lock point of 11/05/2021, the data can be found in the separate PDF.

Please see attached Table One showing the number of reports received from 01/01/2018 – 30/04/2021 split out by month. Reports were identified as being from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust if they contained any of either the Trust name or the following hospital names and postcodes; Charing Cross Hospital (W6 8RF), Hammersmith Hospital (W12 0HS), Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital (W12 0HS), St Mary’s Hospital (W2 1NY), Western Eye Hospital (NW1 5QH).

I have then split the data out further by the reporter qualification which can be found in Table Two. Within the tables the data has been grouped into Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Patients/Parents/Carers and Other Healthcare Professionals. Doctors refers to; General Practitioner, Hospital Doctor and Physician. Nurses refers to; Hospital Nurse and Nurse. Pharmacists refers to; Community Pharmacist, Hospital Pharmacist, Pharmacist and Pre-reg Pharmacist. Other Healthcare Professionals refers to; Healthcare Assistant, Hospital Healthcare Professional, Midwife, Other Healthcare Professional, Pharmacy Assistant and Radiographer.

Please note that the reporting numbers have increased in 2021, this is partly due to reporting side effects to the COVID-19 vaccinations, 102 reports in 2021 can be attributed to this.

It is important to note that this data should not be used for internal audit purposed but is for information only.

I hope the information provided is helpful, but if you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date of this response; and can be addressed to this email address.

Yours sincerely,
