Details

The purpose of the trials was to test the community trigger on the ground to ensure that it could help those victims who need it most. The trials also explored ways to implement the community trigger without imposing unnecessary bureaucracy or unanticipated burdens on agencies or businesses.

Trial areas conducted their own self-assessments. They submitted assessment reports to the Home Office setting out how their community trigger had operated, and lessons identified during the trial. This report is a summary of their findings.
