Overall Objective for the Qualification

Level 3 Award in Coaching and Mentoring

On successful completion of this qualification, learners will have the skills and knowledge to effectively operate in a limited capacity as a workplace coach within a functional area of an organisation.

Level 3 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring

The qualification introduces teaching and the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training. It also includes input on how to plan, deliver and evaluate teaching sessions and give constructive feedback to learners.

Pre-entry requirements

There are no formal pre-entry requirements However, for both qualifications learners are expected to have sufficient knowledge and/or experience on which to develop new levels of expertise and skills.

This knowledge and/or experience could come from formal and/or informal training.

Below are the units which form the Level 3 Award and Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring.

Level 3 Award in Coaching and Mentoring

To achieve this qualification, learners must achieve a minimum of 4 credits.

Level 3 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring

To achieve this qualification, learners must achieve a minimum of 14 credits.
