The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) commissioned a study of industrial CO2 capture for storage or use.

This study focuses on assessing the technical potential and cost effectiveness for retrofit deployment of different CO2 capture technologies to the UK’s largest sources of CO2 emissions from the cement, chemicals, iron, steel, and oil refining sectors, by 2025.
