The Environment Agency has received an application to vary (change) an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Allasso Recycling Limited.

The proposed variation changes a standard rules permit into a bespoke permit.

This is a variation of a standard rules permit (SR2010 No12) to a bespoke permit for the physical and chemical treatment of waste.

The proposed variation to the permit at Henbury Depot is the addition of non-hazardous waste codes to reuse locally sourced material for use in aggregates and bound materials for use in pavement and hardstanding construction. Treatments include crushing, screening, blending and mixing, with the addition of binders/stabilisers and additives. There is also the addition of land to the permitted area to the west of the site, to be used for waste storage and processed material storage.
