Directly Operated Railways Limited (DOR) was the operator of East Coast Rail until it was re-franchised to Virgin Trains East Coast.
On 24 June 2018, the operation of East Coast Rail returned to the public sector through DfT OLR Holdings Limited (DOHL) which operates passenger services through London North Eastern Railway (LNER).
