Joining the cyber reserve force wasn’t just a career shift, it was a purpose shift. The decision to join was not about redirecting my technical skills and expertise towards just a different sector, but it was about leveraging these competencies towards a cause that is far greater than just profits or commercial gain. Being part of it has allowed me to apply my knowledge and ability in a way that actually matters, on a national scale for the security of our nation.
I’m really proud to be in a team, characterised by unity and inclusivity, where we respect and value the diverse backgrounds, skills and perspective of each one of our members. For me, being in the cyber reserves is not just a part time job. It’s about playing a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our digital frontiers. It’s an opportunity to make a real tangible difference and to be part of something that is much greater than just myself.
It’s been a calling that I’m proud to answer.
