Italian labelled product seized at Colnbrook Parcel Depot

Bottles of Cortipet seized.

A package was identified by a courier company based at a depot in the East Midlands. 

It arrived from Italy containing product destined for a veterinary practice in Kent.  

It was detained and subsequently seized by an inspector from the VMD.

The following product was seized:  

  • 8 x 50ml bottles of Cortipet Gocce for dogs and cats

This product was intended to fight and treat inflammation of the skin and to treat asthma in cats.  It was not accompanied by the required certification to permit it’s import.

The product was seized under Regulation 25 (Importation of unauthorised veterinary medicinal products) of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013.
