Cultural education plan expert advisory panel

A group of experts from education and cultural sectors who are helping the Department for Education and Department for Culture, Media and Sport to develop the cultural education plan.

Role

The aim of the panel is to support government to develop a cultural education plan by end of 2023.

The objectives are to:

  • support all children and young people to access high-quality cultural education
  • tackle disparities in opportunity and outcomes in cultural education
  • champion the social value of cultural education
  • connect relevant organisations to provide cultural and creative opportunities for children and young people
  • strengthen talent pipelines into cultural and creative sectors
