Independent Expert Panel on Corporate Re-domiciliation

The Expert Panel will explore how best to establish a UK corporate re-domiciliation regime, making it easier for foreign companies to relocate to the UK.

Re-domiciliation allows for a company incorporated in one jurisdiction to transfer to another while retaining the same legal identity.

The government intends to introduce a UK corporate re-domiciliation regime, making it possible for companies to move their place of incorporation to the UK and therefore make it easier to relocate to the UK. This will strengthen the UK’s position as a global business hub and an open, competitive free-market economy.

The introduction of a regime will require changes to company and tax law. The Expert Panel will provide independent, non-binding advice to the government on how best to establish a UK corporate re-domiciliation framework.

The panel is chaired by Professor Vanessa Knapp OBE and made up of top financial and legal professionals.
