The Devolved Administrations also attend Board meetings, and the Board has recruited independent members from outside government. The independent board members are:

Role of the Board

CARIB was established to ensure coordinated development of research and innovation (R&I) activity to support effective climate adaptation across the UK through the development of a Climate Adaptation Research and Innovation Framework (CARIF). The Board continues to sit while further work is being carried out on CARIF and it will disband once mechanisms for ongoing implementation and maintenance have been agreed.
