What if I can't submit the documents digitally?

If you can't submit the documents digitally you can send copies by post instead. We'll give you the address and reference number to quote once you've paid the licence fee.

  • I am aware of the provisions of The Scrap Metal Dealers' Act 2013. The details contained in the application form and any attached documentation are correct to the best of my knowledge and belief.
  • PLEASE NOTE: The council will process applications from applicants with existing registration by 1 December 2013. Such applications permit existing registered persons to continue operate until the application is determined so long as the application is made no later than 15 October 2013. Applications for persons who are not currently registered with this authority will not be able to undertake the role of a scrap metal dealer/motor salvage operator or collector until the application is determined
