  • If you are a landlord who lets certain types of properties, that were constructed before 1945, you have a statutory obligation to apply for a Certificate of Fitness. Strabane District Council then carries out inspections to check whether properties are fit to live in. Failure by a landlord to apply for a Certificate of Fitness is an offence which can result in the Council taking legal action.
