There is no British Embassy in Timor-Leste. The British Embassy in Jakarta develops and maintains relations between the UK and Timor-Leste.

The British Embassy in Jakarta is responsible for developing and maintaining relations between the United Kingdom and Timor Leste. Staff from the Embassy in Jakarta visit Timor-Leste regularly. Although our bilateral relationship is limited the UK retains a keen interest in developments in Timor-Leste.

Get an emergency travel document

You can apply for an emergency travel document if you’re abroad and your passport has been lost or stolen, damaged or expired, and you can’t get a new or replacement passport in time to travel. Emergency Travel Documents for British Nationals in Lesotho are printed in South Africa; you may be required to pay for courier costs.
