The report evaluates the impact of deploying capital advisers, who are technical building experts, to 20 multi-academy trusts (MATs) from March to July 2021.
Capital advisers supported trusts to improve their estate management by:
- making more efficient spending decisions
- improving building safety
- improving management of their accountability and statutory responsibilities for their school estate
The capital advisers programme pilot revisits and part 1 evaluation were published on 15 November 2023.
