Contents

  1. Documents

Health building notes give best practice guidance on the design and planning of new healthcare buildings and on the adaptation/extension of existing facilities.

They provide information to support the briefing and design processes for individual projects in the NHS building programme.

Activity DataBase (ADB) is a computer package to assist healthcare planners, architects, and teams involved in the briefing, design and equipping of healthcare environments. The package contains detailed data drawn directly from the Departments Health Building Notes (HBNs) as well as Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) publications.

The package can be used by itself or in conjunction with Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit, 2009-2015 (both 32 and 64bit) but not AutoCAD LT and Revit LT.

General queries including details of license costs should be emailed to adblicencerenewals@dh.gsi.gov.uk. Technical queries for current license holders only should be directed to the technical helpdesk at: support@talonsolutions.co.uk

The ProCure21+ Framework is the recommended procurement method for publicly-funded capital projects over £1 million. The Principal Supply Chain Partners have developed a number of repeatable room arrangements for use in NHS Acute and Mental Health facilities, all of which are fully complaint with HBNs and HTMs.
