Request information about you or your vehicle

You can ask for information that DVLA holds about:

  • you
  • your current vehicle
  • a vehicle that used to be registered in your name

This is known as a subject access request (SAR). It’s free.

You may need information from your driving licence and vehicle log book (V5C).

If you’re requesting information about your vehicle before you owned it, use form V888.

You can also view your driving record for a list of your driving bans, penalty points and disqualifications.
