Nepal earthquake April 2015
On 25 April 2015, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck central Nepal, killing over 8000 people, and injuring thousands more. A second devastating earthquake hit the country on 12 May.
The government of Nepal requested international assistance. The UK government has committed more than £70 million in humanitarian aid to date, and we are working to ensure survivors get the help they need.
