This is one of a series of guidance notes on the strategic outcomes of the UK national action plan on women, peace and security (2018 to 2022) to support implementing policy and programme interventions in each area.
In Strategic Outcome 1 (decision making) the UK government commits to influence and transform the political environment in fragile and conflict-affected states, to enable and encourage the participation of women in decision-making. We also commit to support interventions that tackle the obstacles to women’s leadership and meaningful political participation.
