This MGN draws attention to procedures and minimum levels of service for the testing and maintenance of EPIRBs; automatically including the ship's position in distress alerts; and, supplying radio installations from an emergency source of power.

This Marine Guidance Note (MGN) replaces MSN 1810 (M+F) and its corrigendum and should be read with MGN 665 (M+F).
