This document covers the background and feedback from the Direct Payment Demonstration Projects running in 6 areas across Great Britain. It covers the first 9 payments of Housing Benefit directly to tenants.

The projects are testing paying Housing Benefit directly to tenants to help make sure that the right support for tenants and landlords is in place before full implementation of Universal Credit.
