The CMA has responded to OZEV’s consultation rapid charging fund: scheme design.
The CMA’s 2021 market study into electric vehicle charging found there was very limited competition in en-route charging, especially along motorways. The CMA recommended that as well as rolling-out the RCF at pace, OZEV attach conditions to this funding to open-up and increase charging competition at motorway services. This consultation response offers the CMA’s advice to help progress this recommendation.
