Bovine (live): model health certificates

Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export live bovine to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Details

From 1 January 2021, live bovine exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters in EU and non-EU countries should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Live bovine from non-EU countries

Certificate GBHC620

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for domestic bovine animals (including Bubalus and Bison species and their cross-breeds) intended for breeding or production after importation (Regulation 206/2010) (BOV-X).

Certificate GBHC621

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for domestic bovine animals (including Bubalus and Bison species and their cross-breeds) intended for immediate slaughter after importation (Regulation 206/2010) (BOV-Y).

  1. All old versions of certificates have been removed.

  2. Certificates GBHC620 and GBHC621 have been amended. See version history for details.

  5. We have published new streamlined certificates which replace those currently in use: - GBHC620 BOV-X: Domestic bovine animals for breeding or production (replaces GBHC012X and GBHC012E) - GBHC621 BOV-Y: Domestic bovine animals for slaughter (replaces GBHC013X and GBHC013E)

  6. Uploaded new version of certificate GBHC012E. Updated the version history document.

  7. Multiple changes: * Amended the version history notes for certificates GBHC012E, GBHC012X, GBHC013E, and GBHC013X. The previous version of each certificate will continue to be accepted until 1 April 2023. * Amended box 1.2.a in certificates GBHC012E and GBHC013E. A unique notification number (UNN) needs to be included in this box.
