Details

If you have noticed that some or all of the information in a document is incorrect, you can file a replacement document. You can only replace a document that was filed on or after 1 October 2009.

You’ll need to tell us:

  • the company name and number
  • which type of document was originally filed
  • the date the original document was registered

To find this information, search the Companies House register.

You must include a replacement document with your form RP01. For example, if the original filing was to appoint a director, you’ll need to include a form AP01 with all the correct information.

Filing replacement documents online

Sign in to Companies House WebFiling and select the ‘All forms’ tab.

You can file a replacement document online for:

  • an appointment of a director (AP01)
  • a notification of a person with significant control (PSC01)
  • a confirmation statement (CS01) - if the statement of capital or shareholder information was incorrect
  • an allotment of shares (SH01)

To file a replacement for other documents, you’ll need to download the Companies House form you want to replace and include this with your form RP01. Send your paper documents to Companies House by post.

If the company is registered for protected online filing (PROOF) and you need to replace one of the forms covered by PROOF on paper, you’ll need to contact Companies House for a paper consent form (PR03).

Correcting your date of birth as a director or person with significant control (PSC)

You’ll need to file a replacement for the original filing that contained the incorrect date of birth. You can check this in the company’s filing history on the Companies House register.

See Correcting your date of birth with Companies House.
