Biography
Lindsy Thompson has been Head of the Governor’s Office in Montserrat since January 2026.
Lindsy joined the then-FCO in 2003 and has served in the UK Representation to the EU, Sierra Leone, the Yemen Office in Saudi Arabia, and Tanzania. Her most recent postings were as Resident British Commissioner to Antigua and Barbuda (2019 to 2024) and as Administrator of the Pitcairn Islands (2024 to 2025).

The Head of Governor’s Office is a senior diplomat and typically an important advisor to the Governor. They are responsible for the daily management of the Post in the Governor’s absence.
