Jon Parry

Biography

After graduating with a degree in Computing Information Systems Jon began a career in software engineering, working for Scicon Ltd.

In 1994 he joined Ernst & Young as a Management Consultant where he spent 7 years working on major technology and change programmes for a number of different clients, including the BBC, Railtrack and the Department of Transport. In 2000 he moved into the retail sector, joining Argos to launch the retailer’s successful eCommerce and multichannel offer. Following its launch, he took operational responsibility for argos.co.uk, before leading a large capital programme to upgrade the retailer’s delivery and customer service centre infrastructure.

After leaving Argos in 2009, Jon stayed in the retail sector with spells at Travis Perkins as Multichannel Director and in management consulting with Capgemini.

Since 2014 he has pursued a successful career as an Interim Director, during which time he has held 2 previous positions at HM Land Registry, as Chief Digital Officer in 2015 and Customer Director in 2017.
