£9.5 million boost for West Hove regeneration
The Levelling Up Fund has allocated £9.5 million to the ‘Kingsway to the Sea’ project. The project aims to regenerate run-down and under-used spaces in West Hove.
Plans for Kingsway to the Sea
The funding will focus on multiple projects in the city that will provide:

public toilets and changing facilities
- a new public café and terrace
- new sporting facilities
- a pump track for BMXs
- a roller-skating area
- new green spaces
- a skatepark
- tennis courts

The investment will see:
- improved park access from the A259 cycle lane at the Kingsway
