We are working in the Occupied Palestinian Territories to promote economic growth.

Resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a UK priority.

The World Bank identifies the OPTs as one of the poorest parts of the Middle East and North Africa region. DFID is helping to build Palestinian institutions and promote economic growth, so that any future state will be prosperous and an effective partner for peace.

The Palestinian Authority is a committed partner, making impressive progress on institution-building, security and economic management since 2007.

The conflict’s impact, including government of Israel imposed movement and access restrictions, impedes development and increases poverty and vulnerability. However, DFID remains on track to deliver our key results.

DFID funds many organisations who are working to end poverty through open competition. Find out more about how our funding schemes work and the application processes.
