Fit and Proper Test: Confirming the identity of the person applying for the fit and proper test

When someone applies for the fit and proper test we use the information on the form MLR101 to check their identity.

If we cannot find the person on our databases living at the address they have provided, the Registration Team will ask them to provide documentary evidence of identity within 21 days. If the person does not reply with evidence, the Registration team will pass the case to the Risk Targeting Team.

If we can confirm their identity from the documentary evidence provided, we will key their details from the MLR 101 on to the F&P database.

If we cannot confirm their identity from the documentary evidence provided we cannot process the application.
