Roles and responsibilities: CFSP National Assurance Team (CNAT)

The CNAT is located in Local Compliance and is responsible for:

  • CHIEF accounting adjustments - trader errors detected before the end of the accounting period and IMSE estimates provided by the trade due to non submission of supplementary declarations
  • entry cancellations using CHIEF transactions XTCE/XCCE
  • compliance action (eg suspending CFSP traders with inadequate deferment guarantees, references sent to Risk Managers/CCMs)
  • actioning non-monetary substitute/amended SD entries
  • checking on the timely and complete submissions of SDs, including the FSD, monitoring and either taking or initiating action (ie informing assurance staff)
  • Anti Dumping Duty (ADD) registration and monitoring
  • C79 VAT Certificate amendments
  • maintaining a spreadsheet of all CFSP traders and
  • electronic and paper licensing queries/attribution.
