Criteria and Conditions of Authorisation or Approval: Criteria unique to AEO authorisations

The following criteria are unique to AEO and are included here for comparison purposes only.  They provide visibility of the extra requirements to be met when applying for AEO status:

 

For AEOS applications:  Security and Safety of the supply chain and goods held within procedures:

·        The applicant has taken measures allowing a clear identification of his business partners and contributing to the security of the international supply chain through implementation of appropriate contractual arrangements or other appropriate measures in accordance with the applicant’s business model;

·        Where applicable, the applicant has appropriate security requirements in place for any external service providers employed;   

·        The applicant ensures that its staff concerned actively participate in security awareness programmes;

·        The applicant has appointed a contact person competent for safety and security related questions.
