The event included discussions with:

  • Rob Peck - Head of Home Office Appeals Operations, Appeals, Litigation and Admin Review
  • Judge Julian Phillips – Resident Judge, First Tier IAC Tribunal
  • Chris Cole - Partner and Head of Immigration, Parker Rhodes Hickmotts

This event gave more information about our immigration and asylum appeals, and gave attendees the chance to provide feedback on what we’ve done so far as well as ask questions about what is happening next.

This webinar explained how we have been testing new processes with legal professionals and provides more about our plans to allow more people to use the reformed service.

In our new reformed appeal process, we aim to provide a fully digital ‘end-to-end’ journey in the first tier. We are modernising the way in which Home Office decisions about a person’s immigration status are appealed.

Using this approach, we can provide improved support to those who need it, provide quicker resolution of appeals and maintain transparency for the status of the appeal.

The event was held for legal professionals, professional court users and the third sector.
