Which charities can get support

The ‘Revitalising Trusts’ programme helps charities who find it hard to spend their income on the public benefit. Charity trustees can get help from the programme, and should discuss their charity’s future if it is hard for the charity to:

  • get new trustees
  • spend your income
  • identify beneficiaries
  • find time to run the charity

Trustees can get help from the Revitalising Trusts programme if they’re not sure what to do.

England

For charities operating in England, you can get in touch with either UK Community Foundations (UKCF) or the Charity Commission.

To talk to someone about your charity’s options, email Rachel Morgan, UKCF Revitalising Trusts Programme Manager, at trusttransfers@ukcommunityfoundations.org.

Wales

For charities operating in Wales, you can get in touch with either Community Foundation Wales (CFW) or the Charity Commission.

If your charity received an email from the Revitalising Trusts programme

Your charity may get an email from the programme if it has:

  • not spent any money in the past 5 years
  • spent less than 30% of its income in the past 5 years
