The UK Science and Innovation Network promotes and facilitates international collaboration in research and innovation.

Science and Innovation is at the heart of the UK government’s strategy for promoting sustainable economic growth. Science helps deliver robust policies, grows our economy and ensures we are prepared for and respond to global challenges and emergencies. The UK Science and Innovation Network (SIN) creates strategic relationships to collaborate and harness the value of science and innovation discoveries, policies and investment overseas, leading to mutual UK and host-country benefits.

Similarly to Swissnex (the Swiss network for the SERI managed by FDFA), SIN is co-funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). There are around 110 SIN officers based in embassies or consulates in 40 countries around the world.

For an introductory brief which covers the local Science and Innovation landscape, UK priorities and successes in Switzerland, read the UK Science and Innovation Network Country Snapshot.
