A2(L) Press Officer
The British Embassy in Budapest is looking for an A2(L) Press Officer to join the Policy and Public Diplomacy Section.
This is an international environment with ample opportunity to be creative in using social media and strategic communications, as well as organising events. You can also play an active role in the planning and implementation of the UK’s worldwide communications campaign in Hungary with all the challenges and rewards that such work would entail. We are seeking applications from those with experience in PR, media or a related field with an interest in carrying out public diplomacy projects, a proactive approach to communications and experience in budget handling.

Regional Head or Human Resources

If so, we are looking for a Regional Head of Human Resources to head and set up our new regional HR hub at the British Embassy, Lisbon. The successful candidate will be responsible for launching a team of twenty people as a regional HR operation to provide an effective management platform to support our staff working in British Embassies and Consulates in Europe.

The British diplomatic presence in Hungary consists of the British Embassy in Budapest. Staff at the mission fall into two groups:
UK-based staff: career diplomatic staff, employed directly by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) in London, and sent to work at posts abroad for periods of 3-5 years,
Locally employed staff: local residents, employed in accordance with local employment law and practices.
