Summer Universiade Team GB reception in Kazan
Denis Keefe, Deputy Head of Mission, hosted a welcome reception for the British Team competing in the 27th Summer Universiade in Kazan.
As well as the gymnastics, badminton and women’s football teams from Great Britain, representatives from the International University Sports Federation, Universiade volunteers, other competing nations and Tatarstan Government and society attended.
A vocal group from the Kazan conservatory performed traditional Tatar folk songs for the assembled guests. Neil Rogers from the British Team gave a speech and presented Denis with a team shirt.
