Compensation if you're a victim of crime abroad

You may be able to apply for compensation if you’re a UK resident and have been injured because of a violent crime in another country.

The following countries have compensation schemes open to UK residents:

Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden or Switzerland.

Other countries might have compensation schemes.
