- there were 84,920 JSA lone parent claimants at January 2015, a decrease of 37,410 (31%) from January 2014
- in January 2015, 75,750 (89%) JSA lone parents were female and 9,170 (11%) were male
- where their ethnicity was known, 77% of JSA lone parents were white in January 2015
