The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Green Waste Recycling Services Limited.

Regulated facility type

The proposed facility will store road sweeping wastes for temporary storage prior to treatment. Road sweeping and gulley wastes will be stored temporarily prior to treatment within the plant. Once treated the material is discharged in to separate skips where it is removed from site for further use and/or treatment elsewhere.

Any hazardous wastes will not be collected so there will be only be non-hazardous wastes being treated at the proposed facility. All storage and treatment of waste will conducted on an impermeable pavement with sealed drainage. The facility with take 7500 tonnes each year and accept only one waste code.
