Wolf Minerals (UK) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number SW/047/0002/004 which authorises the abstraction of water from the Tory Brook at Loughter Mill, Plympton, near Plymouth at National Grid Reference SX 54992 57373.
The variation applied for is to:
- Renew the licence to the Tamar Abstraction Licensing Strategy common end date of 31 March 2026.
- Reduce the environmental monitoring requirements of condition 9.7 and Schedule B of the licence by ceasing to monitor from 5 (S2, S3, S4, S5 and T3) of the 11 licensed monitoring points.
- Remove or change condition 9.5.1 following submission of written proposals for environmental mitigation, as required by the condition, on 11 December 2017.
