Details of the application

Tillmouth Farming Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Till catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 22.3 litres per second
  • 80 cubic metres an hour
  • 880 cubic metres a day
  • 11,700 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 August inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid References (NGRs) NT 86405 41899 to NT 88665 45431
  • from abstraction location Tillmouth Farm.

The water will be used for Trickle irrigation - Direct.
