I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act.

My request is regarding checks made on people applying / training to become teachers across the North West of England.

From December 1, 2012 up until the present, can you please specify:

  • The number of criminal records checks made on people applying to be a ‘teacher’ in the postcode areas ‘L’ (Liverpool), ‘M’ (Manchester), and ‘LA’ (Lancashire).

  • In each case, the previous criminal offences revealed (if any)
