Details of the application

Tarmac Trading Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Thames Corridor catchment.

The application is for a licence to transfer water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 245 litres per second
  • 882 cubic metres an hour
  • 18,000 cubic metres a day
  • 4,600,000 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • between National Grid References (NGRs): SU 10522 95145, SU 10828 94835, SU 11064 94927, SU 10877 95259 and between NGRs SU 10222 94493, SU 10848 93825, SU 11194 94065, SU 11045 94446
  • from abstraction location Northmoor Sand and Gravel.

The water will be used for Dewatering.
